Today I am going to talk about Intermittent Fasting and why this method is so popular and used by people nowadays than the traditional ones.
Before we begin, let me ask you a question: Do you sometimes also grab a snack as if you were remote-controlled?? Sounds familiar? Yes, I do too.
?
Actually, we're not that hungry, but we can't and don't really want to resist it just tastes way too good we have the feeling that your body simply requires it - NOW!?
?
But do you know how it will taste even better? If you enjoy your food CONSCIOUSLY!?
?
What you need is self-control? That's right.
Intermittent Fasting could be your choice to lose weight
So let me drill in and give you a quick introduction to Intermittent Fasting.

Intermittent Fasting (IF), just like its name suggests, is an eating pattern that cycles between periods of fasting and eating. It doesn?t specify which foods you should eat but rather when you should eat them. In this respect, it?s not a diet in the conventional sense but more accurately described as an eating pattern.
Obesity is becoming an increasing problem. So, it?s no wonder that so many people are looking for a better way to lose weight. Traditional diets that restrict calories often fail to work for many people. It?s difficult to follow this type of diet in the long-term. This often leads to yo-yo dieting ? an endless cycle of weight loss and gain. Not only does this often result in mental health issues, but it can also lead to even more weight gain overall.
It comes as no surprise, then, that many people have been searching for a solution, a diet that can be maintained long-term. Intermittent fasting is one such diet. More of a lifestyle change than an eating plan, it is different from regular diets. Many followers of intermittent fasting find it easy to follow for extended periods, including myself. Even better, it helps them to lose weight effectively.
However, this type of eating plan also offers benefits beyond weight loss. Many people believe that it can offer other health and wellness benefits too. Some say it makes them more productive and focused.
Yet, the benefits don?t stop there. There is some evidence to show that intermittent fasting (IF) helps wellness in other ways too. I will share more about it in the coming posts.
With all of this in mind, it?s easy to see why this way of eating is becoming more popular and acceptable. Here, we?ll take a closer look at why intermittent fasting works to promote weight loss.
Fasting has been a practice throughout human evolution. Ancient hunter-gatherers didn?t have supermarkets, refrigerators, or food available year-round. Sometimes they couldn?t find anything to eat. As a result, humans evolved to be able to function without food for extended periods of time.
In fact, fasting from time to time is more natural than always eating 3?4 (or more) meals per day.
It is also often done for religious or spiritual reasons, including in Islam, Christianity, Judaism, and Buddhism.
The most popular Intermittent Fasting methods are:
Many people find the 16/8 method to be the simplest, most sustainable, and easiest to stick to. It?s also the most popular. For me, I find it is the simplest method I adopted it for my lifestyle and I have been practicing this 16/8 method since 19 Nov 20 with 85.6kg, dropped to 78.4kg on 9 Jan 21 (a total of 4.2kg loss in weight) without making myself hungry, but enjoying the progress indeed.
By reducing your calorie intake, all of these methods should cause weight loss as long as you don?t compensate by eating much more during the eating periods.
